EDITOR´S NOTE:
Hello Rocker! Me and the Hard Blast team want to apologise for these weeks without any updates but I´ve been quite busy covering the summer festivals to give you great photos, reviews and news. We´ve been also working on new partnerships to upgrade the website and improve our work. In a couple of weeks everything will be back to normal and you can wait for great stuff! Besides Tuska Open Air and Hellfest, we were at Ruisrock, Sonisphere, will be at Ankkarock and have done great interviews which are coming soon. All this traveling will be over soon ´cause summer is unfortunatelly close to the end so, don´t give up on us! We´ll be back even better!!! Stay rock!

		When I started to think I was in pretty BAD SHAPE because of the previous gig (Exodus & Kreator), I was already traveling, bond and erect from Moema, SP south side, by bus, subway and bus again, straight ahead to São Bernardo do Campo to witness what truly would be a delightful experience for far too many people who probably never ever thought they would ever watch this very band, neither thought they would ever get BIG: the five citizens from Massachusetts, Killswitch Engage.

		Censorship X Extreme Metal

		Ace Frehley - Anomaly

		After 20 years without a solo release and promising one since mid-2002, the eternal Kiss guitarist, Ace Frehley, finally did it on the 15th of September, 2009. Fans were anxiously waiting for "Anomaly" and now here it is for e everybody´s great fun!

		Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine

		Only recently I became aware that Jello Biafra is finally back with a new band. All the spoken word and collaborations he had done with other cool musicians after DK split were great, but it was about time we saw him fronting his own band again. It all gets even more rewarding since Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine are a great five-piece that sound a lot like the Dead Kennedys, only heavier and with a fair touch of Metal.

		Jakks – “Fuego En Tu Piel”

		Who would ever say that one of the greatest promises in the nowadays Hard Rock is in Latin America? The Jakks started its activities in 2006 in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital. The Band calls attention because of its 80´s hard rock style, clear in their sound and image, ending up with the feeling that this style was outdated.

		Rebellion Festival – Blackpool/Inglaterra

		How can we explain the dedication and admiration some people have for this style, “cursed” and “impossible to understand” by ordinary people? Perhaps the explanation is a strong will to get out of the obvious and acceptable. In the beginning of death metal and grind core, in England, USA and Scandinavia, the goal of the pioneers was not selling millions of albums nor fame and fortune. They wanted to be the most brutal band in the planet!

		Hot Leg – Red Light Fever (2009)

		I´m very glad to debut my column at Hard Blast talking about one of 2009´s best hard rock albums: the also debut one of Hot Leg, called "Red Light Fever". This band´s biography started with “The Darkness”, who got known by the hit "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" in the middle of 2004, when the singer and guitarist Justin Hawkins decided to quit. The reasons were drug addiction and the rockstar routine, too tiring, according to Justin.

		It's Sunday morning in Finland. Radio is on as it was in my childhood too. The red-leather Schaub-Lorenz radio followed us everywhere and I loved the magic of it. The voices were like a parallel world and it still fascinates me how words, voices and sounds can affect us. Father used to tell us stories and some of H.C.Andersen's fairy tales were read over and over again.

		Tenacious D is a “comedy hard rock band” with the actor Jack Black as band leader. Yes, the same JB from “Rock School” and “Kung Fu Panda”. The big thing on this band is that they consider themselves just as “the best rock band of the world”. So the movie is a “modest” biography of the band.

It was arranged by Perfect Strangers of Finland that is the official Finnish Deep Purple appreciation society, approved by the band and their management. PSOF supports all music related to Deep Purple family tree including quite a wide selection of musicians and bands.

The story: in the 80´s, Steel Dragon, one of the best rock bands of the moment, substitutes the original vocalist by a young guy who sings in a cover band.
